We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance - Regulatory Compliance Administrator to work in our Quality Assurance Department. This position will be based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist, the primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with all relevant federal, national, provincial, industry, corporate and site-specific policies and regulations. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent working on regulatory, and the other 50% assisting our Quality Assurance Specialist.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as the facility’s subject matter expert in the area of interpreting the compliance and accreditation criteria based on organization, customer, or external party requirements

  • Maintain all export registrations and certifications

  • Direct and control regulatory compliance procedures within organisation

  • Source, research, and summarize complex legislation, regulations, and industry guidelines

  • Obtain export certificates from CFIA

  • Make sure BSE List is updated and includes all ingredients

  • Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program

  • Assist with documentation for ISO and HACCP systems

  • Assists with Internal and External audits

  • Maintain trademark and patent files to ensure renewals are completed on time. Also works with patent and trademark attorneys to register new patents and trademarks.

  • Recommends process improvements

  • Assist with other duties as assigned or directed

Qualifications: Minimum

  • An aptitude for multi-tasking and working effectively in a dynamically changing

  • environment

  • Self-motivated critical thinker with the ability to work independently

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage

  • multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Exercise high attention to detail, take pride in their work, and an aptitude for

  • continuous improvement

  • Experience in a food environment and working on previous quality and safety

  • management programs is considered an asset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts (Business) or other relevant degree

  • Knowledge of ISO and HACCP is an asset

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in compliance/quality assurance or other relevant

  • experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Production & Lab environment

  • Working at desk approximately 75% of the time, 25% doing “other” tasks

We are currently looking for a Logistics Assistant to work in our officeThis position will be based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the primary purpose of this position is to facilitate a positive end to end customer experience, ensuring the customer gets what they want, when they want, at a freight rate that meets expectations. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating customer order activity, including: order processing, freight negotiation and coordination, sales invoice generation and associated administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Receive and process orders for pet food, aquafeed and export customers.

  • Coordinates with production and ensures sufficient inventory levels.

  • Obtains freight quotes for orders.

  • Coordinates freight for customers from Corey to customer delivery

  • Monitors carrier movement from shipper to receiver to ensure load is delivered on time and in the intended condition.

  • Follow up on service failures and take corrective measures.

  • Responds to high volume of communications daily; Communicates with customer and carriers for delivery to customer expectations

  • Prepares, reviews, audits and maintains all necessary shipping and carrier documents prior to load tender

  • Prepares CFIA certificates for Export Orders

  • Runs inquiry and ad-hoc reports as requested

  • Customer invoicing and credits

  • Demonstrates a high degree of loyalty to the company

  • Demonstrates company values in actions and behavior

  • Comply with all policies and procedures

Competencies:

  • Strong customer service and logistics background

  • Superior knowledge of MS Word, Great Plains and Excel.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-organized.

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Ability to deal with multiple variables and time constraints

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Works well in a fast paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration, College degree - Accounting or combination of education and work experience

  • 5+ years related experience in a comparable role

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production industry an asset
